The 2024 Pacific Coast Association of Public Insurance Adjusters Golf Classic and Spring Conference on May 6th and 7th brought together industry leaders, professionals and association supporters for an afternoon of tournament golf followed by a day filled with insightful discussions and presentations on various facets of property insurance claims adjusting.
Monday, May 6
The two-day event commenced with the PCAPIA Golf Classic at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club in Tustin, CA, offering participants a chance to network and enjoy a competitive round of golf before diving into education sessions. The day concluded with an awards reception, fostering further networking opportunities in a relaxed setting.
Tuesday, May 7
The PCAPIA Spring Conference opened the second day at The Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. It began early with registration and breakfast, followed by a welcome from President Denise Sze, Esq., setting the tone for an informative day ahead.
Jeff Schwenk from Continental Machinery led a comprehensive session on equipment evaluation, covering everything from the importance of accurate assessment to tools and technologies utilized in the process. Real-life case studies provided valuable insights into best practices and challenges faced in equipment evaluation for property insurance claims.
Dylan Schaffer, Esq., from Kerley Schaffer LLP, delved into the nuances of California Fair Plan policies, shedding light on eligibility criteria, coverage details, claims processes, shortfalls, and future reforms. Everyone present gained a deeper understanding of this critical aspect of property insurance in California.
